2023-2024 North Shore Junior Guards Fundraiser

The North Shore Lifeguard Association (NSLA) is fundraising for the 2023 Summer Junior Lifeguard Program!

In 2022, NSLA’s Junior Lifeguard Program served over 400 youth, ages 8-17, for a total of 155 hours, empowering them with critical life-saving skills and ocean knowledge FOR FREE. This program, held at Waimea Bay for ages 8-11 and ‘Ehukai Beach Park for ages 12-17, has tangible results. Some Junior Guard graduates will go on to be the next stars of the WSL, like John John Florence, Betty Lou, Barron Mamiya and Moana Jones. Some will be expert watermen and women that protect and serve alongside North Shore's finest. Many will have the natural skills to prevent accidents and provide help in emergencies along the Seven-mile Miracle and beyond.

Since NSLA provides this program for free to the community, fundraising is needed in order to obtain: necessary permits, website and registration maintenance, daily instructors, rescue tubes, rescue boards, and a tent.
